Agenda - Week 3: September 14th-18th, 2020
September 14th
Dear parents,Today we practiced for the Terry Fox run with 214 laps!! We learnt about place value in math today. We discussed the world, Canada and the different continents in social studies. We discussed the day 4 results of our Friday science experiment. We completed some reading comprehension in English. We discussed the image of the day in French this morning for our routine. Some reminders:
- Terry Fox day is Friday, you are able to bring in some donations if you'd like.
- Please return the forms, if not yet signed, by Wednesday this week.
- eLibrary is available online for some book resources.
September 15th
Dear parents,
Today we wrote about our favourite books. We reached 243 laps for the Terry Fox practice race, today! We have a total of 457 laps in total! We learnt about place value in math today. We spoke about temperature and solar energy in science. Some reminders:
- Forms are to be returned by tomorrow.
- Terry Fox is on Friday. If you'd like to donate, please bring either cash in person or you can donate online as well.
September 16th
Dear parents,
Today we played ukelele. We ran 295 laps for Terry Fox in physical education, and our new class total is 752 laps. We are trying to get 1000 tomorrow! We learnt about the continents and Canada in social studies. We also began a colour wheel in art, followed by English where we discussed Terry Fox as a hero and hero's in our lives. Some reminders:
- Apple order forms went home today.
- Terry Fox is Friday, and if you'd like we are accepting donations.
- If you have not returned the forms from last week, please return those A.S.A.P please. :)
September 17th
Dear parents,
Today we wrote about our hero's in English. We then finally hit 1,000 laps for our Terry Fox training in Phys.Ed. We worked on pinhole cameras in science as well as discussed the weather. We spoke about book genres in French.
Some Reminders:
- Terry Fox is tomorrow. Dress appropriately for the run!
- eLibrary instructions are online for borrowing books from the learning commons.
- Please return forms if you'd like to order apples for the Apple Fundraiser.
September 18th
Dear parents,
Today we worked on expanded and standard form in math. We also began our writing assignment for "My Hero" in ELA. After this, we watched the warm-up video for our Terry Fox run, then we had our afternoon outside!
Some reminders:
- School conferences are the 24th and 25th of September. Thursday will be an early dismissal (8:30-12:40), and Friday there is no school!
- If you would like to order apples from the school fundraiser, please bring in your order forms.
- Week 3 math games, and Get Epic! is now available.
